Notting Hill Carnival still not banned OH DEAR
There may be trouble ahead - If there is a riot here this year, the only good that will come from it will be that it will finish Camerons career as he has continued to spout off about the EDL while ignoring this massive looming disaster. Dont think the local residents will be too happy with him.

Since the carnival did not have local authority permission, initial police involvement was aimed at preventing it taking place at all, which resulted in regular confrontation and riots. A change of policy came after a confrontation in 1987, which saw a change to allowing the Carnival to take place with police taking a more conciliatory approach. During the 2000 Carnival, two men were murdered and future policing, whilst conciliatory, has led to police deployment in large numbers - upwards of 11,000. Some of the crime associated has been displaced to the periphery. In 2007, two teenagers were shot just outside the Carnival area. The Review in 2000 by participants (but not local residents) resisted calls from the Mayor of London to resite the event in Hyde Park but led to the parades taking a circular rather than linear route.
The 2008 Carnival was marred by rioting right at the very end of the weekend, involving large numbers of youths and injuries to police. Some media outlets captured footage of the violence - [1], approximately 500 youths were arrested. The carnival has come under criticism for its cost to the London taxpayer as the cost for policing the event totalled over £6,000,000, however, it is argued that this should be put into context as the carnival is estimated to bring in approximately £93,000,000 into the local economy.[15]
Five murders have taken place since 1987:
30 August 1987 - Michael Augustine Galvin, 23, stallholder - stabbed.[16]
26 August 1991 - Dr. Nicholas John Hanscomb, 38, bled to death after being stabbed in the thigh.[17]
28 August 2000 - Greg Fitzgerald Watson, 21, stabbed to death after an argument over food.[18]
28 August 2000 - Abdul Munam Bhatti, 28, beaten to death in a racially motivated attack by a group of 40-50 youths.[19]
30 August 2004 - Lee Christopher Surbaran, 27, shot by a gang using a machine pistol for "showing disrespect".[20

King's Cross was today named asLondon's worst Tube station for crime, with almost 200 offences committed there last year.
In a list released by British Transport Police, King's Cross, Victoria and Stratford had the highest number of reported offences among stations in Zones 1-3.
But crime is falling across the transport network, which the force says is due to a "highly visible policing style".
There were 194 offences reported at King's Cross, 186 at Victoria, 165 at Stratford and 147 at Oxford Circus.Piccadilly Circus, Baker Street, Leicester Square and Old Street all also had more than 100 reported crimes each.
Passengers groups say the figures reflect the fact that these stations are the busiest in London. Old Street's inclusion was a surprise, however 84 of the offences there involved drugs.
The 194 offences at King's Cross included 33 incidents of violence against a person, six sexual offences, three cases of criminal or malicious damage, 95 reported thefts of passenger or rail commercial property, 13 serious fraud cases, seven drug offences and two other serious offences.
Victoria was the most dangerous station as 48 of the offences there involved violence. It was closely followed by Leicester Square with 46 and Stratford with 42.
At Seven Sisters there were three reported robberies.
Victoria also had the most reported cases of pickpockting with 80 followed by Oxford Circus with 72 and Piccadilly Circus with 59 - all are heavily used by tourists.
Jo deBank from London TravelWatch said: "Personal security is hugely important to passengers and making sure stations are safe is vital.
"We have called for better standards at London's stations, and Old Street is one of those in need of significant improvement."
Some stations in Zones 1 and 2 saw almost no on-station crime at all.
Cannon Street and Aldgate were among those which only had two crimes reported last year while at 15 stations, mostly towards outer London, only one was reported all year.
London's transport is safer than its equivalents in almost all other European cities. The volume of crime taking place in Tube stations is steadily dropping, but the amount happening on trains and buses has fallen sharply. Crime on the Tube fell by 20 per cent over the last three years, and on buses by 30 per cent.
The number of robberies taking place on public transport fell by nearly 50 per cent.
British Transport Police said: "The reduction is due to the highly visible policing style that BTP operates on the Tube and the use of intelligence and crime-pattern analysis to ensure officers are deployed to the stations and locations where they are needed most."
Transport for London said: "The Tube is a low-crime environment, with crime rates continuing to fall. This reflects both our close working with the BTP and our successful use of the deterrent of CCTV and other community safety initiatives.
"But there is always more that can be done which is why significant resources are devoted to catching and prosecuting criminals, and CCTV cameras across the network

A record number of police officers will be on duty for next weekend'sNotting Hill carnival, police sources confirm.
Double the number of officers that policed the royal wedding will be on duty at the west London event, with the Metropolitan police planning 20,000 shifts split over the two days – the highest number of police in the event's 47-year history.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's April wedding day saw 5,000 Metropolitan police officers on duty in London. Carnival organisers said about 500 stewards will be on duty, about 100 more than last year, to ensure there is no repeat of the violence seen during the London riots.
With tensions high following the disturbances a fortnight ago, more than a third of those bailed on riot-related charges have been given the condition that they avoid the festival. A 33-year-old father from Clapham, accused of stealing a £19.99 pair of trousers from JD Sports during the chaos, was told by Judge Alan Baldwin that he could face a heavy penalty if he is found in Notting Hill next week.
The festivities in Notting Hill are to end early this year – at 7pm each night – but revellers tend to stay out on the streets late into the night after the carnival.
Courts have not only been handing out heavy "deterrent" sentences, but rarely giving bail to those awaiting trial, citing a high risk of re-offending. It seems likely that Notting Hill carnival is the date being pinpointed.
Claire Dudley, a 26-year-old carnival-goer, said: "I am worried about what's going to happen this year. If all the police are in Notting Hill, then what happens to Brixton, where I live, or other parts of London? Carnival's always incredible, but plenty of people might see it as the perfect opportunity to start some trouble."

Norwich “stop the EDL” meeting got STOPPED by Casuals
19082011The Marxist enemies of Britain who are behind a lot of riots that occur in this country, the Socialist Workers Party decided they were going to have a “stop the EDL” meeting in Norwich last night.
Unluckily for them when they arrived at the meeting venue they found it had already been occupied by 30 Ipswich and Norwich Casuals. Epic Fail. Meeting cancelled haha.
How ironic that those who wanted to silence free speech had that right taken from them.
No doubt they will have their own version which includes threats/violence and the fact that “the meeting still went ahead” blah blah but heres the facts, there was no violence, our lads just refused to leave and scuppered the meet.
